I’m thrilled to report that my cashmere range is now going to have a permanent home at Brown Thomas. You might remember from my last blog post that I was part of the Create exhibit for new Irish designers, which ran throughout the month of September. Following on from that, I had a meeting with the Brown Thomas Head Buyer, Shelly Corkery. She said they were really impressed with my sales and they also got great feedback from customers, so they wanted to keep the collection on.
I’ve been moved to the second floor, where the collections are more contemporary. I think that’s a good fit for my brand, which is designed to appeal to women who want to look casually elegant for work and for social occasions.
My stand will be similar to the one I had for Create, but the rail will be bigger. There’ll be a card with my logo and you’ll be able to find out a bit more about me and my background in fashion design. I’ll be displaying all my classic collection pieces, with jumpers and cardigans in a range of colours and styles. But I’ll be adding chunkier knits in the run up to Christmas, as well as scarves to keep out the cold.
I’m delighted to be able to offer my collection on a larger scale, and to be associated with a prestigious brand like Brown Thomas. But Brown Thomas have also given me the freedom to work with other design outlets. You’ll now find Lucy Nagle Designs in select boutiques around the country, including Isabel’s in Adare, Muse in Waterford and Emporium Kaloo in Naas.
